Three Solids in Space

Three carved foam solids are composed together to address the fundamental challenge of three-dimensional spatial arrangement. Each form is individually distinct in geometry wedge, block, and angled mass and together they interlock and lean against one another along a shared diagonal axis. Finished with a granular gray coating that convincingly simulates raw stone, the work presents itself as something far denser and heavier than its actual material. The sculpture explores how three discrete solid objects can collectively define, activate, and tension the space they occupy.
